Thomas Paul Thomas Paul was born and raised in New York City. He got his start in the fashion business working as an intern at DKNY in the mid-nineties after graduating from New York's Fashion Institute of Technology with a degree in textile design. While working as a colorist and designer for a silk mill specializing in neckwear and scarves, Thomas Paul worked on neckwear collections for such designers as Bill Blass, Calvin Klein, and DKNY. This eventually led to the creation of his own neckwear Thomas Paul collection, the short-lived digities in the late 90's. From this was born the start of the thomaspaul pillow collection, launched in 2001, which was originally conceived of as an idea of utilizing the silk printing mill's capabilities for home accessories instead of personal accessories. Since then the line has steadily expanded into other categories apart from silk pillows to include tabletop, stationery, area rugs, and lamp shades. Thomas Paul Rugs without doubt is a must have home accessory; these area rugs designs have translated to multiple awards at home and abroad making Thomas Paul rugs to be known as the ultimate home accessory. Thomas Paul must be very proud of his rug line; and who wouldn’t, Thomas Paul Rugs is a conversation topic every time you see them; his designs are fresh and elegant, bringing life to any room. The ultimate goal being to have thomaspaul products covering every aspect of the home.

Amy Butler “I've never given a second thought to being an artist. It's really who I am, and what I enjoy. I'm inspired by my surroundings, my friends, my family, nature, and the rich textures of everyday life. I was never much on following trends. I like to remove myself from the cultural influences and design from a very intimate point of view. I collect vintage fabrics and use them in all of my work. I love the hunt, I love flea markets and shops and traveling abroad to find inspiration.” Amy Butler
